Uckers

Introduction

Uckers is a little known strategic board game whose rules were created by members of the Royal Navy and played in the messes of war ships for fun and humiliation. It is a 2 player game where each player plays 2 colours.

It uses a standard Ludo board but the rules are far from those of Ludo. The use of 2 dice and the ability for players to stack their pieces to form barriers introduce a whole new strategic and fun slant to this ancient game.

I decided that it would be a great game for XBOX 360 and am developing it for the Dream Build Play 2008 Competition, also with a view to releasing it within the 360's upcoming XBOX Live XNA community marketplace.

  • Looks great. What might mess you up is if they (DBP Judges) try out you game immediately after some high octane, very violent and/or very fast game. Good luck though. And again, really great game idea
